NSW Liberals and Nationals have a plan to support families, back jobs and get NSW back to the top of the pack.
Member for Badgerys Creek, Tanya Davies MP said the NSW Liberals and Nationals have a practical plan focused on cost of living relief, creating the conditions for businesses to invest and create jobs, and delivering the infrastructure communities need.
“Families across Badgerys Creek are paying the price for Labor’s poor economic management, working harder than ever but finding it harder to get ahead,” Mrs Davies said.
“Many local businesses are being forced to reduce staff or close their doors, investment in building for the future has stalled, and people are paying more for less.
“The NSW Liberals and Nationals have a practical plan to help families get ahead and stay ahead, support businesses to grow and create jobs, and build a stronger future for our state.”
A Sloane Liberal and Nationals Government will deliver practical cost of living relief by:
- Delivering a $100 car registration rebate.
- Putting downward pressure on household and business power bills by increasing energy supply, improving energy security and generating more power closer to where it is used, reducing reliance on costly transmission infrastructure.
- Restoring the Regional Seniors Travel Card.
The NSW Liberals and Nationals also have a plan to get the economy growing again by creating the most competitive payroll tax regime of any Australian state by:
- Raising the annual payroll tax threshold from $1.2 million to $1.5 million.
- Lowering the payroll tax rate from 5.45 per cent to 4.75 per cent for businesses with a total Australian payroll below $10 million.
- Introducing CPI indexation to both thresholds to eliminate bracket creep.
To ensure New South Wales has the infrastructure needed for a growing population, a Sloane Liberal and Nationals Government will:
- Negotiate a new Western Sydney City Deal.
- Continue building Metros by progressing a Metro for South Western Sydney.
- Introduce a Regional Infrastructure Guarantee to ensure at least 25 per cent of new infrastructure spending is in regional NSW.
Tanya Davies MP said the plan would help deliver families not only get ahead but stay ahead.
“The NSW Liberals and Nationals will back families, support local businesses, create jobs and build the infrastructure people across Badgerys Creek need for the future.”
