HEALTH AND FITNESS EQUIPMENT INSTALLED AT SALES PARK

Tanya Davies MP, Member for Badgerys Creek, has celebrated the installation of health and fitness equipment at Sales Park, through which $80,000 was allocated out of $272,000 in funding she secured for Penrith City Council projects from the Local Small Commitments Allocation (LSCA) program.

“I was thrilled to support the investment into health and fitness equipment at Sales Park, which our local community can use to stay active and healthy”, said Mrs Davies.

Mrs Davies was joined by the Mayor of Penrith City Council, Councillor Todd Carney, as they tested out the new equipment.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the upgrade to Sales Park is an exciting highlight for the Luddenham community.

“The enhanced playspace provides the community with a dynamic environment designed for families and children of all ages to play, keep active and enjoy,” said Cr Carney.

“With the help of our community in choosing the design of the new play and fitness equipment, we’re delivering playspaces which appeal to families with kids to promote a healthy lifestyle of active and outdoor play.”

Mrs Davies stated, “The health and wellbeing of our community is an important priority and I’ll keep working hard to ensure that locals have access to the best facilities and equipment.”

The funding is among many important investments that Tanya Davies has secured for the Badgerys Creek electorate.

Mrs Davies will continue to advocate for projects that support the health and fitness of our community.
