Tanya Davies MP, Member for Badgerys Creek, was joined by Kemps Creek United Soccer Club on Saturday in celebrating the completion of drainage works, courtesy of funding of $7,000 awarded under the former NSW Liberal and Nationals Government for drainage and fencing upgrades.
This funding was part of $156,440 worth of investment the former NSW Liberal and Nationals Government delivered into the club since 2016, which also included $7,800 in 2023 for the purchase of sport equipment and uniforms.
The day was marked by a ribbon-cutting event and the competitive use of the fields for the first time post project works.
Mrs Davies reflected on her delight in ensuring that the drainage will result in fewer weather-related disruptions to training and sporting matches.
“I appreciate the importance of quality sporting fields to locals and visitors alike and am delighted that these works will reduce the impact of rain on competitive and leisurely sporting activities,” Mrs Davies stated.
The works were just the latest in a long list of outcomes Mrs Davies has secured for the community.
“I will continue to advocate for our region to ensure that our local fields and facilities are of the best quality and standard,” concluded Mrs Davies.
