KELLIE BOWDEN RECOGNISED AS THE 2026 BADGERYS CREEK WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Kellie Bowden was announced as the Badgerys Creek Woman of the Year at the NSW Women of the Year Awards in Sydney.

The Local Women of the Year Awards celebrate local champions, advocates and trailblazers who make a difference to their local community and recognise the outstanding contributions of women and girls across the state.

The Member for Badgerys Creek said the annual awards are an important opportunity to acknowledge the women who make a meaningful difference across NSW every day.

“Our community is incredibly proud to see Kellie honoured at the NSW Women of the Year Awards. Through her work in the local dance industry as the founder buisness Dance Industrie, she has delivered a lasting impact locally, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved,” the Member said.

“It is clear that Kellie has demonstrated excellence with genuine community service and has exemplified the strength, capability, and generosity that define the women in our community and across NSW”.

Shadow Minister for Women, Felicity Wilson, congratulated all the award recipients.

“Right across NSW, we have seen countless women acknowledged today for their work as inspirational role models to women and girls right across NSW. Their work makes a real difference in the lives of others and deserves to be recognised and celebrated,” Ms Wilson said.

“Every award winner honoured today truly embodies this year’s International Women’s Day theme, ‘Give to Gain’. Progress is driven when we invest in women’s leadership and elevate their voices, not just today, but every day.”

Introduced by the Liberal National Government in 2012, these annual awards continue to recognise the women and girls whose determination, bravery, skill and passion have inspired their communities and others to achieve great things.
